The queen of hearts foundation is a non-partisan charitable Non-governmental organization which was formed due the untimely death of the lady princess Diana, the princess of Wales who campaigned against landmines and assisting the terminally ill children and orphans It was established in 1997 but commenced its activities in 1998.

It was establish with the sole aim of promoting the welfare of the social misfits and to reduce motor accidents and support accident victims and bring some comfort to the terminally ill children. And as stated, our mentor, the late princess Diana was of the view that children should always be happy, and as she died from a motor accident, the foundation decided to find a way of reducing accidents in the kwahu traditional area and support accident victims if vehicular accident occur and victims of disasters. The foundation has no cultural, tribal, racial or religious barriers and operates n both rural and urban communities.

The queen of hearts foundation was formed by some social sensitive people with varying professional background and experience and whose motivating factor was their desire to assist in the improvement of the vulnerable, marginalized and the deprive in society through education (sensitization) and other integrated rural development programs A lot of events and programs were organized at ‘Dadieso’ in the asante akyem, ‘Pankese’, ‘kofi dede’ and ‘Ampremkom’ in the kwahu west areas. In 2008 the founder Mr Atta koramoah decided to revive the foundation and take up the humanitarian work to a different height.

In other to prove the worth of the foundation, he solicited funds in the united states, for the foundation to establish a preparatory school, which is the queen of hearts academy situated at nkawkaw to help the needy children acquire basic education and impact knowledge in them to become responsible youth and citizens.

The queen of hearts academy under the auspices of the queen of hearts foundation has made tremendous transformation in the children in the vicinity, and this makes our vision statement “Improve the living standards of the social misfits and the marginalized through educative activities to become responsible adults and citizens in our tradition or society” become an achievable vision for development, which aligns with our slogan “queen of hearts foundation….welfarism for development”.
